The Kansas City Royals and New York Mets shared a team in the Dominican Summer League in 1990. They were 30-42 to finish third in the four-team Cibao Division. The Royals had sponsored the DSL Royals in 1989 and would split affilliates through 1996, before once again fielding a full squad. The Mets split teams from 1989 to 1991 before fielding the DSL Mets in 1992.
