DSL Astros/Red Sox

The Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox shared a team in the Dominican Summer League in 1996. For the Astros it was the third year of shared sponsorship in the DSL before returning to a full DSL Astros team in 1997. For the Red Sox, the team was a return to the DSL, as the organization would go on to sponsor the DSL Red Sox in 1997. They had a 29-39 record to finish in the middle of the seven-team San Pedro de Macoris division.
