Biographical Information[edit]
Cyclone Ryan was a two-way player who played first base and pitched.
A "Cyclone Ryan", presumably this one, was the top hitter (among regulars) in the 1897 New York State League, according to the Sporting Life issue of December 11, 1897. He played first base. In 1898 he was the team captain.
An article about the "Northamptons" states Ryan played for them, apparently sometime in the period 1891-93.
