Cuenca, Azuay
Cuenca is located in central Ecuador, in the Andes Mountains, some 8,400 feet (2,500 meters) above sea level, 125 miles southeast of Guayaquil. It is named after the city of Cuenca, in Spain and is the third largest city in the country after Guayaquil and the capital, Quito. It hosted the 1985 Bolivarian Games.
