Biographical Information[edit]
Cristóbal Hiche was born in Chile but came to the US at age 16 to advance his game, playing high school and college ball in the US. He played in Brazil's league for Mogi das Cruzes in 2002 as well. He played for the Chilean national team in the 2012 South American Championship. He joined the Herts Falcons in the UK National Baseball League in 2012 and played for them for four years, hitting over .400. In 2016, he coached for the Dombirn Indians in the Austrian Baseball League. He later was appointed to the board for Herts Baseball, having rejoined them in 2017. In the 2018 South American Championship, he again played for Chile. As their starting left fielder, he hit .214/.353/.286 with five runs in five games. He was second on the team in runs, one behind Daniel Catalan, and helped them take the Bronze.
