Biographical Information[edit]
Cory Doyne was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 8th round of the 2000 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Chuck Carlson and made his pro debut that summer.
Doyne set the Norfolk Tides franchise record in saves in July of 2007, breaking a 11-year-old mark of 26 held by Derek Wallace. Doyne made the International League All-Star team as the relief pitcher that year.
