Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Corey Jones began his professional career in 2010.

He was taken by the Detroit Tigers in the 7th round of the 2010 amateur draft (the scout was Phil Huttmann) and hit .351/.443/.448 in 51 games between the GCL Tigers and West Michigan Whitecaps his first professional campaign. He didn't hit .300 or better again until 2014, when he batted .304/.347/.424 with 31 doubles in 113 games for the Erie SeaWolves. He was an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star that year.
