CoolToday Park
CoolToday Park is a ballpark located in North Port, FL which opened at the end of spring training in 2019 and became the full-time spring training home of the Atlanta Braves in 2020. The Braves decided to move from Champion Stadium in Lake Buena Vista, FL, near Orlando, FL, in order to move closer to other major league teams whose spring training takes place in the Sarasota, FL/Bradenton, FL area.
In January 2020, the Florida Fire Frogs of the Florida State League announced that they would play their upcoming season at the ballpark after their previous, home, Osceola County Stadium, had been transformed into a soccer stadium. However, that season was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Fire Frogs were one of the teams that disappeared as a result of the Minor League Reorganization that followed that season. Starting in 2021, it became the home of the FCL Braves.
The ballpark has 7,000 seats with a total capacity of 8,500 and was built as part of a $125 million facility.
