Biographical Information[edit]
The stepson of Charlie Manuel, Collin Martin played two seasons in the minors.
He was All-Florida Sun Conference as a senior in 2006. The Cleveland Indians signed him as an undrafted free agent and he hit .221/.309/.336 with 21 runs and 16 RBI in 37 games for the GCL Indians; he fielded .974 as their main first baseman. He batted .171/.272/.200 in 31 games for the 2007 Florence Freedom to end his pro career with a batting line of .203/.295/.286, 3 home runs, 28 runs and 21 RBI in 68 contests. He also coached for Florence in 2007.
Martin was assistant coach at Winter Haven High School from 2006-2009. In 2010, he was assistant coach at Florida Southern College. He then moved to Polk State College from 2011-2014. He was an assistant coach at Webber International University in 2015-2019, then became head coach in 2020.
