Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Colin Dixon spent seven years in the minor leagues, playing from 1989 to 1995. He peaked at Triple A in 1992.

The ballplayer was taken in the 17th round of the 1989 amateur draft by the Boston Red Sox and played in their system until 1993. With the unaffiliated San Bernardino Spirit, hitting .281/.353/.470 with 19 home runs and 79 RBI in 126 games. Overall, he batted .257/.323/.365 with 37 home runs and 249 RBI in 612 games. He hit .436 for Team Canada in the qualifiers for the 1998 Baseball World Cup with 8 runs in 9 games to win a spot on the All-Star team as Canada advanced to the Cup. In the 1999 Pan American Games, he was 2 for 9 with a homer, two runs and three RBI for Canada, backing up Matt Logan at first base for the Bronze Medal winners.

After baseball, he worked as a financial planner and coached baseball back in Canada.
