Biographical Information[edit]

Clyde Miller was a college coach. His son Joe Miller also was a long-time coach. [1]

He was a reliever on the Georgia Southern team that won the 1962 NAIA College World Series. [2] He was 18-7 with 18 saves and got to pitch to Lou Brock. [3] He coached at Indian River Junior College, South Georgia College, Brewton Parker College, Newberry College (1981-1988) and Gardner-Webb University (1990-2002), going 835-690-2 in 32 seasons. He set the Gardner-Webb record for wins and was also athletic director at both Newberry and Gardner-Webb. He took Gardner-Webb to the 2000 Division II College World Series. [4]
