Cloud Chief is a ghost town in central Oklahoma, located 100 miles west of Oklahoma City, OK. Cloud Chief High School was located here until it closed down in 1960, by which time it was the last remaining significant structure in town. Durwood Merrill was born here and Dale Mitchell is buried in the local cemetery.
