Cliff Papik

Cliff Papik coached for 30 years at Black Hills State College (1948-1978), including coaching baseball, basketball, football, golf and tennis. A popular and feisty coach, Papik started a baseball dynasty that produced eight conference championship teams and five All-Americans. His career baseball record at BHSC stands at 326-179. He was inducted into the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. The college baseball field was named after him in 1978, and in 1980, Papik was inducted into the NAIA Baseball Hall of Fame.
