Biographical Information[edit]

Cip Garza played professionally from 2015 to 2019. The pitcher/outfielder started with the Glacier Outlaws of the short-lived Mount Rainier League, then spent the rest of his career in the Pecos League, playing for the Salina Stockade (2016), California City Whiptails (2017), High Desert Yardbirds (2018) and Monterey Amberjacks (2019). In 19 games (2 starts), he was 0-2 with a 11.48 ERA; in 29 innings, he allowed 44 runs (37 earned) on 43 hits, 34 walks 13 wild pitches and 9 hit batsmen. He struck out 23 batters. He also played 5 games in the outfield, hitting .368/.409/.421 with 7 hits, 10 runs and a double in 19 at-bats.

He managed the Whiptails to a 28-45, 4th-place finish in 2017. In 2018, he skippered the Yardbirds to a 30-32, 3rd-place finish. Then he led the Amberjacks to a 36-25, 2nd-place finish in 2019; they lost in the 1st round of the playoffs. He has served as bench coach of the Lexington Legends since 2020.
