Biographical Information[edit]
Chun-Yi Wu had a brief career in the CPBL.
Wu represented Taiwan in the 2008 World Junior Championship. He was drafted by the La New Bears in the 7th round of the 2010 CPBL Draft, and he went 7-6 with a 4.11 ERA in the minors in 2011. He slumped to 3-4 with a 6.33 ERA in 2012, and he also pitched 8 games with a 1.69 ERA for the big club in that season. He then went 2-3 with a 2.25 ERA in the minors in 2013, and he had a 4.60 ERA in 17 games in 2014, Wu was released after the 2014 season, and his professional career ended.
Wu’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 90.7 mph) and curveball.
