Biographical Information

Chun-Yang Hsu pitched in the CPBL.

Hsu was drafted by the Rakuten Monkeys in the third round of the 2020 CPBL Draft, and he had a 4.76 ERA in 10 appearances in 2021. He improved to a 2.09 ERA in 44 relief outings in 2022, and he also notched 8 holds. Hsu only pitched 1/3 of an inning with 2 runs allowed in the 2022 Taiwan Series, and the CTBC Brothers swept the Monkeys. His ERA rose to 7.88 in 26 games in 2023, but he was solid in minors as he didn't gave up any earned runs in 19 2/3 innings. The TSG Hawks then selected him in the expansion draft.

Hsu's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 90mph) and changeup.
