Biographical Information[edit]
Chun-Ho Chen played in the CPBL for 6 years.
Chen was signed by the Jungo Bears when they were founded in 1993, but they already had star catcher Kun-Hong Pai, so Chen only got 20 at-bats in his first two seasons. He was then traded to the Wei Chuan Dragons for cash, but he still couldn't get many appearances. The Sinon Bulls (the Bears had changed their name) traded him back in 1997, and he hit .258/.350/.396 in 80 games. Chen played a career-high 91 games in 1998, and his batting line was .232/.318/.342. However, he injured and missed the entire 1999 season, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Chen had hit .233/.324/.325 with 130 hits and 11 homers in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
