Biographical Information

Chun-Chieh Wu pitched for the Taiwanese national team and the CPBL.

Wu was part of Taiwan's designated pitcher pool for the 2017 World Baseball Classic but was not activated. He represented Taiwan in the 2017 Universiade, pitched 3 1/3 innings with 4 strikeouts and 2 runs allowed. Wu also pitched for the Taiwanese national team in the 2017 Asian Championship , worked 8 2/3 innings, allowed 10 earned runs, and recorded 1-1 with 10 strikeouts.

The Wei Chuan Dragons picked Wu in the 4th round of 2019 CPBL Draft. He was 0-2 with a 6.27 ERA in his rookie year, but pitched well in the minors, as he had a 3.31 ERA in 35 1/3 innings. Wu still struggled the next year, with a record of 0-1 with 5.59 ERA in 8 appearances. His ERA rose to 6.54 in 8 games in 2023.

Wu has a peak 91 mph fastball and a curveball, a slider, and a forkball.
