Biographical Information[edit]
Chuckie Caufield was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 25th round of the 2003 Amateur Draft from Seminole State College, but opted to remain in college. Three years later the Milwaukee Brewers took him in the 39th round of the 2006 Amateur Draft from the University of Oklahoma and Caufield played in their minor league system through the 2011 season. Caufield reached AAA briefly in 2010. Over six minor league seasons he hit .266/.335/.379 while appearing in 580 games. Caufield played a final season in the independent North American League with the Fort Worth Cats.
In 2013 Caufield returned to the Brewers organization as a coach in their player development system.

Caufield was scheduled to be the hitting coach of the Shuckers in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Under Caufield’s guidance, the Shuckers had one of their most productive seasons at the plate in 2022, setting the single-season franchise record for runs scored, doubles, home runs, RBI, walks, and stolen bases.
In 2024 Caufield joined the Houston Astros organization as a Special Advisor & Roving Hitting Coordinator.
