Biographical Information

Chuan Wei played in the CPBL.

Wei was drafted by the Wei Chuan Dragons in the 28th round of the 2019 CPBL Draft. He was picked by the lowest draft pick ever in CPBL history, and coincidently his name was the same as the team which pick him. Wei hit .288/.385/.363 in the minors in 2020, then his batting line was .222/.375/.222 in 12 games in 2021 after missing most of the that season due to a knee injury. He debuted on May 19, 2022, and he collected his first career hit against Tzu-Wei Lin. Wei ended up hitting .259/.303/.321 in the minors in '22, and he improved to .356/.413/.367 in 2023.
