Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Christophe Dassy played and coached in the First Division. He joined the Namur Angels in 1991 and was with them when they made it to the First Division in 1995. He hit .206/.325/.221 and fielded .867. In 1997, he batted .247/.297/.318 and fielded .859. When Namur won the title in 1998, he hit .290/.420/.387 in a reduced role, followed by .175/.327/.175 in 1999, again off the bench.

After not playing in the First Division in 2000, he signed with the Brussels Kangaroos for 2001, producing at a .253/.438/.354 clip and fielding .775. He hit .284/.406/.352 in 2003 and fielded .822. After again missing an even-numbered season (1996, 2000, 2002 and now 2004), He returned to Namur and hit .159/.260/.205 and fielding .936 in 2005. In 2006, he hit .136/.292/.153 and fielded .846. He hit .155/.194/.167 in 2007. In 2010, he was 0 for 2.

He has been head coach of Namur (a role he stepped down from at the end of 2014) and ran a baseball academy in Namur. He coached for the Belgian national team in the 2016 European Championship.
