Biographical Information[edit]

Christoph Zirzlmeier has played in the Bundesliga. He debuted in Bundesliga-1 in 2008 with the Regensburg Legionäre, going 12 for 45 with a double and a walk. He was 4 for 13 with a double and a walk in the 2008 European Cup. In 2009, the 20-year-old was 2 for 9 with a double and a walk in the Bundesliga-1 and 0 for 2 in the 2009 European Cup, backing up Alexander Lauterbach. During 2010, he hit .305/.364/.389 with 23 runs in 27 games and fielded .980 at 1B. He was 7th in the league in strikeouts. In the postseason, he remained steady at .306/.358/.388 as the club won the title. He slumped to .196/.286/.286 in 2011 and was 6 for 31 with 6 walks, a double and 3 home runs in the playoffs as Regensburg won it all again.
