Biographical Information

Chris Tiller worked as a call-up umpire in the major leagues from 2008 to 2010, for a total of 64 games. He was never added to the permanent roster of umpires, however. He umped in the minors from 2002-2011, including the Pacific Coast League from 2006-2011.

Prior to umpiring, he was a player, having been drafted in the 41st round of the 1998 amateur draft by the Detroit Tigers from junior college. However, he never signed with the team or played professionally. Following his time as an umpire, he entered veterinarian school at Texas A&M University.
