Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chris Shaw began his professional career in 2015. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in the 26th round of the 2012 amateur draft, but did not sign. He did sign after being taken by the San Francisco Giants in the supplemental first round, 31st overall, in the 2015 amateur draft.

Shaw batted .287/.360/.551 with 12 home runs and 30 RBI in 46 games for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 2015 and in 2016, he hit .267/.335/.484 with 21 home runs and 85 RBI in 132 games between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and San Jose Giants. He reached Triple A for the first time in 2017.

He was a Northwest League Mid-Season All-Star, a Baseball America Short Season All-Star and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2015. In 2016, he was a California League Mid-Season All-Star, a Baseball America High Class A All-Star and again a MiLB.com Organization All-Star.
