Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Chris Curley played in the minor leagues from 2009 to 2016.

He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Atlanta Braves on July 31, 2009 and struggled in their system through 2010. The Braves cut ties with him and he signed with the Florence Freedom of the independent Frontier League, with whom he hit .292/.353/.467 with 14 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 96 games in 2011. In 2012, he hit .356/.387/.611 with 10 home runs and 44 RBI in 42 games for Florence before being signed by the Chicago White Sox. He spent the rest of the year with the Kannapolis Intimidators (.271/.321/.500, 11 HR, 29 RBI) and Winston-Salem Warthogs (.417 in 12 at-bats) and hit a combined .315/.354/.557 with 21 home runs, 74 RBI and 14 stolen bases. In 2013, with Winston-Salem, he hit .280/.350/.471 with 24 home runs, 92 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 136 games. He was named a Carolina League Mid- and Post-Season All-Star, as well as the league MVP and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star.
