Biographical Information

Ching-Wei Huang had a brief career in the CPBL.

Huang was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the 3rd round of the 2013 CPBL Draft, and he had a 7.27 ERA in 18 games in the minors in 2014. He went 1-8 with a 4.22 ERA in 2015, and he had a 9.64 ERA in 5 games with the big club. Huang slumped to a 21.72 ERA in 9 games in the minors in 2016, and his ERA was 19.29 there in 2017. The Lions released him after the 2017 season, and his professional career ended.

Huang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 87.6 mph), changeup and slider.
