Chinese Professional Baseball League Draft

From BR Bullpen

The Chinese Professional Baseball League Draft is very similar to the MLB amateur draft. One notable difference is that players are drafted not just from college and high school ranks, but also semipro and amateur teams as well as players returning to Taiwan from the US or Japan. For instance, the 2014 CPBL Draft featured former major leaguer Chia-Jen Lo and former Indians farmhand Chun-Hsiu Chen going in the first round along with high schooler Yun-Wen Chen and amateur pitcher Chung-Cheng Chiang.
