Biographical Information[edit]
Chih-Hsuan Sung debuted for the Taiwanese women's national team in the 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup. [1] She led Taiwan's women's baseball championship in RBI in 2015. [2] She played pitcher, catcher and shortstop in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, hitting .400/.462/.600 with five RBI in six games, going 3-for-4 in steals. She allowed 3 runs in 1 2/3 IP against champion Japan and handled 12 chances error-free. She was 0 for 1 with a walk and a RBI in the 4-3 Bronze Medal Game loss to Venezuela. [3] She led Taiwan's women's championship in RBI in 2018 and ERA (1.17) in 2019. [4] She was back with Taiwan when they won Silver in the 2019 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, scoring Taiwan's lone run in their 2-1 loss in the title game against Japan. She mostly played third base.
