Biographical Information

Chih-Hsuan Sung debuted for the Taiwanese women's national team in the 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup. She led Taiwan's women's baseball championship in RBI in 2015. She played pitcher, catcher and shortstop in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, hitting .400/.462/.600 with five RBI in six games, going 3-for-4 in steals. She allowed 3 runs in 1 2/3 IP against champion Japan and handled 12 chances error-free. She was 0 for 1 with a walk and a RBI in the 4-3 Bronze Medal Game loss to Venezuela. She led Taiwan's women's championship in RBI in 2018 and ERA (1.17) in 2019. She was back with Taiwan when they won Silver in the 2019 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, scoring Taiwan's lone run in their 2-1 loss in the title game against Japan. She mostly played third base.
