Biographical Information

Chih-Chi Lai played in the CPBL.

Lai was selected by the Rakuten Monkeys in the 5th round of the 2021 CPBL Draft, and he 0-2 with a 4.32 ERA in the minors in 2022. He debuted against the Uni-President Lions on September 10, 2022, and he ended up having a 6.75 ERA in 3 games with the big club in that season. Lai's ERA was 2.57 in 3 appearances in the major league in 2023, and he went 4-6 with a 5.06 ERA while leading the minors in losses.

Lai's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 93.2 mph), slider, changeup, curveball, forkball and sinker.
