Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chie Gunner was taken by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 10th round of the 1996 amateur draft, three picks after infielder Shea Hillenbrand. Beginning his professional career at 17 years old, he played in the Devil Rays system from 1997 to 1999, never advancing beyond rookie ball. He batted .251/.340/.340 with 5 home runs and 47 RBI in 131 games for his career.
