The Chicago Green Sox were one of three teams still standing when the short-lived United States League disbanded during its only season, on June 24, 1912. The Green Sox were kept together and continued to play against local Chicago teams for the rest of the summer.
The most famous member of the team was pitcher Bugs Raymond, a former major leaguer.
