Biographical Information[edit]
Chia-Min Tseng pitched in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team.
Tseng represented Taiwan in the 2005 Asian Championship; he only pitched one inning with a strikeout and no hits allowed. The Brother Elephants selected Tseng in the second round of the 2006 CPBL Draft. The young pitcher was 6-6 with a 4.26 ERA in his rookie year, not a bad performance for a local starter. However, Tseng's ERA rose to 7.94 in 2009, and he was involved in the gambling scandals that shook the league in 2010. The CPBL banned Tseng for his role in that scandal.
Tseng's repertoire included a fastball (peak 90.7 mph), slider, curveball, forkball and changeup.
