Biographical Information[edit]

Chi-Feng Lee has pitched in the minor leagues and the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Lee was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 2016 with a $40,000 signing bonus; the scout was Min-kyu Sung. [1] He suffered from an elbow injury and missed the 2017 season. Lee debuted with the AZL Cubs 1 in 2018, and he had a 4.62 ERA in 13 games. He slumped to a 5.03 ERA in 11 games in 2019, and he decided to come back to Taiwan.[2] The Uni-President Lions selected him in the 4th round of the 2020 CPBL Draft, and he had a 7.90 ERA in 9 games in the minor league in his rookie year. Lee recorded a 8.35 ERA in 20 relief outings in 2021, and he spent nearly the entire 2022 season in the minor league.

The Taichung native finally broke out in 2023, and he became an important part of the Lions' bullpen. He collected 9 holds in 36 appearances, and his ERA was solid at 3.31. He was brought into the 2023 CPBL Playoff Series, but he didn't pitch any games and the Lions were eliminated by the Rakuten Monkeys.[3]

Lee's repertoire included a fastball (peak 93.8 mph) and slider.
