Biographical Information[edit]

Florida State University quarterback Charlie Ward won the Heisman trophy in 1993 but never played in the NFL. Instead, he played in the NBA for over a decade as a guard, spending most of his career with the New York Knicks.

Despite never playing college baseball, Ward was selected twice in baseball's amateur draft. In 1993, the Milwaukee Brewers picked him in the 59th round, and the New York Yankees chose him in the 18th round in 1994. He never played in the minor or major leagues as a baseball player.
