Biographical Information[edit]

Charlie Kalbfus played one game for the Washington Nationals in 1884. Nicknamed "Skinny", he was 145 lbs. He had played with the Washington National club in 1883 before it was a major league club.

Kalbfus was born in Washington, DC and died in suburban Takoma Park, MD.

An article about Charlie [1] indicates that he was club treasurer of the National Club before it was a major league club. Even before that, he was on a club called the Orientals, and in 1883 served in the Washington Light Infantry. After his time in the majors he became an amateur again, and pitched. He worked as a clerk in the U.S Post Office.
