Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Charlie Fermaint began his professional career at 17 years old. He was taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fourth round of the 2003 amateur draft, ahead of future All-Stars Jonathan Papelbon and Michael Bourn. He remained in the Brewers system until 2009, then played part of 2009 in the Washington Nationals system to wrap up his career. A speedster, he stole 27 bases three years in a row, from 2006 to 2008; the year before that stretch began, 2005, he hit .310/.365/.603 with 17 home runs and 15 steals in 58 games; He never hit more than 7 home run in any other season. Overall, he hit .250/.309/.368 with 45 home runs, 242 RBI and 124 stolen bases in 589 games.
