Biographical Information[edit]
Middle infielder Charles Webb played in the minor leagues from 1941 to 1942 and from 1946 to 1952. Light on power, he slugged only six home runs in 2,852 at-bats - or one every 475 at-bats.
In 1949, he managed the Lynn Tigers after taking over for Thomas Kennedy partway through the season until the team disbanded on July 19. In 1950, he skippered the Waycross Bears for the latter part of the season, replacing Don Manno.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 to 1946.
