Charles Abraham Stoneham

Biographical Information[edit]
Along with John McGraw and Francis McQuade, Charles Stoneham purchased the New York Giants from Elsie Lombard, widow of John Brush, and her daughter Natalie in 1919.
Under Stoneham's ownership, the club won the World Series in 1921, 1922, and 1933, and captured National League pennants in two other seasons. Upon his death in 1936, his son Horace Stoneham became the team's primary owner.
