Biographical Information

Charles Monterrosa played for the Salvadoran national team in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. He played third base and hit 5th in the opener against Curaçao. He singled off Temesh Lourens his first at-bat. His two-run homer off Venezuela's Wuilder Rodríguez surprisingly tied the game in the 5th inning of a 4-3 near-upset win. He finished the event 3-for-10 with the homer but made two errors in three chances. He had the team's lone homer, led them in RBI (2) and led in slugging (.200 ahead of Emerson Bonilla). He tied for 4th in the Games in errors. It is unclear if he is the same Charles Monterrosa who was playing for Johns Hopkins University the same year.
