Biographical Information[edit]
Third baseman Charles DiCola played in the minor leagues from 1946 to 1949. In his first year, he slashed .293/.358/.359 with 133 hits and 67 runs scored in 115 games for the Salisbury Cardinals. His batting average and hit total declined each season after that, finishing at .263 and 15, respectively, for the Sanford Spinners in 1949. Overall, he batted .282 with 290 hits in 276 games over 4 seasons.
He managed the Fitzgerald Pioneers for a couple weeks in July 1949, replacing Wilbur Good Jr. and being replaced by John Pawlick.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
