Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Charles Chase was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the January 1966 amateur draft. He played for the GCL Twins in the Gulf Coast League in 1966, hitting .269/~.394/.350 and finishing seventh in the league in batting average.

Chase was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Serial No. 56829018, when he was killed in hostile action in Vietnam at age 21. His name is on the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC.
