Biographical Information[edit]
Charles "Chappie" McFarland never had a winning record during five years in the majors, but went 22-4 for Oklahoma City in 1907.
His brother Monte McFarland, although less than three years older than Chappie, broke into the majors seven years earlier than Chappie did. The two are the only major leaguers (through 2010) born in White Hall, IL, a small town west of Springfield, IL and north of St. Louis, MO.
