Biographical Information[edit]
Chappie Geygan played major league baseball from 1924 to 1926, getting most of his at-bats with the Boston Red Sox in 1924. He was the youngest position player on the team, although he was older than 19-year-old pitcher Red Ruffing.
During his managing career he was apparently referred to as "James Geygan", perhaps a name calculated to get more respect from his players than "Chappie".
