Chang-sik Yoo pitched in the KBO for 6 years.
Yoo represented South Korea in the 2010 World Junior Championship. He was 1-2 with a 2.14 ERA and 31 K in 21 IP; he led the event in IP (two more than Omar Luis), appearances (5), strikeouts (7 ahead of Chun-Lin Kuo) and losses (tied with Amin Touhari, Angel Mejias and Marko Vykoukal). He was named the All-Star RP. He was drafted by the Hanwha Eagles in the first round of the 2011 KBO draft, and he had a 6.69 ERA in 26 games in his first season. He then went 6-8 with a 4.77 ERA in 2012, and he led the league with 79 walks. Yoo was 5-10 with a 6.78 ERA in 2013, and he improved to 4-4 with a 4.14 ERA in 2014. The Eagles then traded him with Kwang-soo Kim, Jun-hyeok Oh and Soo-kwang Noh to the KIA Tigers for Jong-hwan Lee, Jun-seob Im and Seong-ho Park. Yoo was 0-8 with a 7.90 ERA in 2015, and he was involved in a game-fixing scandal in 2016. He was suspended for 3 years, and his professional career ended.
Overall, Yoo was 16-33 with a 5.77 ERA, struck out 243 and pitched 369 1/3 innings in 6 seasons in the KBO.
