Chang-Gun Xiao (蕭長滾) (The Unbeatable Commander)
Biographical Information[edit]
Chang-Gun Xiao was a pitcher-infielder in Taiwan in the 1930s-1940s. The island was then under Japanese control and he drew interest from Japanese teams. He later was head coach of the Taiwan team that won the 1974 Little League World Series. He came out of retirement as a technical consultant for the Uni-President Lions in the early years of the CPBL. His wife was a track and field athlete at the Asian Games. He was inducted into the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
