Biographical Information[edit]

Chandler Shepherd made his major league debut in August, 2019, pitching four innings for the Baltimore Orioles and giving up one run.

He was born in Louisa, KY, a small town in northeastern Kentucky He attended the University of Kentucky, and he and A.J. Reed were both drafted out of there in 2014. From 2014 to part of 2019 he was in the minors in the Boston Red Sox organization. He was mostly a reliever until 2018 and 2019, when he became primarily a starter. He was selected off waivers by the Chicago Cubs on May 18, 2019 and then by the Orioles, into whose minor league organization he went.

Through 2019, there have been two other major leaguers with the name Chandler, although both of them had it as a last name. There have also been two others with the last name Shepherd.
