Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Chad Tredaway was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 16th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He was sent to the San Diego Padres in 1995 as compensation for the Cubs signing Padres manager Jim Riggleman. He later also played in the Mexican League. His father Reggie Tredaway was a college coach.

Following his playing days, Tredaway was skipper of the Edinburg Roadrunners of the Central Baseball League from 2001 to 2004. He captured league titles in his first and last season with the club, and he was named league Manager of the Year in each of his four years there. He went on to serve as Director of Baseball Operations for the Coastal Bend Aviators before returning to the dugout as skipper of the Fort Worth Cats for the 2008 season.

Tredaway's son, Tayten, is a freshman infielder on the Angelo State University team in the 2022 Division II College World Series.
