Centrales (Súper Liga)
The Centrales played in all four seasons of Cuba's Súper Liga. In 2002, they were 16-11 and finished second. Andy Zamora (.391) led in average, Frederich Cepeda in homers (7) and Ariel Borrero (19) and Cepeda tied for the league lead in RBI. On the mound, Maels Rodríguez led the loop in strikeouts.
In 2003, the Centrales were 13-7 and won the title for manager Lourdes Gourriel Sr.. Cepeda won the Triple Crown and was supported by Yulieski Gourriel, the manager's son. Yovani Aragón (4-0) had the league's best record, while Norberto González led with 21 strikeouts.
During 2003-2004, the team was 6-9 to finish last. Aragón led in strikeouts (15) while Luis Borroto (1.25) led in ERA. Usually light-hitting Eduardo Paret posted the most home runs, 5.
The Centrales were 16-10 for the best regular-season record in 2005 but fell in the finals. Roger Poll (.437) won the batting title while Yulieski Gourriel led in runs (30) and RBI (40). Adiel Palma (2.10) led in ERA.
