Category talk:Women of Baseball
If we are going to add pages for all or most of the WBWC players, should we have a new subcategory :Category:Women Players or :Category:Female Players? --MichaelEng 08:42, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Makes sense. I'd like to also cover more AAGPBL players at some point. Female players sounds better to me than women players. Do players such as Sophie Kurys get both the Women of Baseball and Female Players tag or should we redefine Women of Baseball to cover only executives, announcers, writers, etc.? - --Mischa 13:02, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Moving category to women's baseball, removing Women of Baseball from AAGPBL players, adding Female players category. --MichaelEng (talk) 14:45, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
- Don't know where to put the broadcasters, fans and writers. It might be best to remove their gender-based category. --MichaelEng (talk) 15:16, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
Sounds like a reasonable set of moves. - --Mischa 18:32, 31 May 2007 (EDT)
I disagree... I think "Women of Baseball" is a valid category. Women, be it as broadcasters, owners, executives, writers, are still rather rare and worthy of mention. -Chisoxfan 00:11, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
Oops, I initially misread things. Although I still think Mary Shane and Doris Kearns Goodwin and Morganna deserve special note somewhere. -Chisoxfan 00:13, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
- Maybe a "List of women involved in baseball"? I should have copied the category before it was blanked. --MichaelEng (talk) 16:08, 15 June 2007 (EDT)
That is one solution. I'm neutral on the subject. - --Mischa 17:01, 15 June 2007 (EDT)
This category is unused. Remove it? --Jeff 22:51, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
Yep. It's been superceded by others. - --Mischa 08:32, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
