Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Sievers played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Sievers played for the Leones de Yucatan from 1992 to 1999, and he signed with the Wei Chuan Dragons after hitting .275/.374/.412w with 7 homers in '99 season. He had a .295/.389/.449 batting line in 22 games for the Dragons, and he appeared in the 1999 Taiwan Series Game 1. Sievers involved in a brawl in that game, as he tackled down Chun-Yu Huang and he was suspended for 10 games. He then returned to Mexico, and he .328/.376/.516 in 2000. Sievers moved to the Olmecas de Tabasco in 2011, but he slumped to .234/.350/.360 with 7 homers. He then hit .259/.319/.447 for them in 2002, and he recorded a .256/.341/.397 batting line in 2003.

In 2005, Sievers crushed 17 homers with a .357/.458/.569 batting line in 107 games, and he also played for the Aguilas de Mexicali in winter. He then blasted 11 homers while hitting .325/.427/.493 in 2006 in Tabasco, and he recorded a .320/.401/.519 batting line with 11 homers for the Aguilas. Sievers then crushed 10 homers with a .315/.408/.479 batting line in 2007, and he batted .257/.348/.500 with 14 homers in winter. He extended his solid batting in 2008, and his batting line was .301/.416/.453 with 10 homers in Tabasco and .257/.395/.369 for the Aguilas. Sievers then left the Olmecas in 2009, and he had a career-high 24 homers with a .297/.398/.540 batting line in 102 games for the Tigres de Quintana Roo. He struggled in winter as his batting line fell to .211/.323/.386, and he also crushed 9 homers in 15 games with a .439/.520/.537 batting line for the Caneros de Los Mochis.

Sievers only had 8 homers with a .285/.417/.460 batting line in 2010 in Quintana Roo, and he hit .256/.375/.395 in winter. He bounced back as he recorded a .267/.395/.458 batting line with 16 homers in 2011, and his batting line was .214/.337/.357 in winter for the Venados de Mazatlan. Sievers then moved to the Rieleros de Aguascalientes and hit .298/.382/.441 with 9 homers for them, and he returned to Quintana Roo and had a .225/.322/.351 batting line in 2013. Sievers played 64 games with a .264/.364/.357 batting line in 2014, then he announced his retirement. He later coached in the Mexican League.
